UK TRIP (London)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Well hello there!
I'm pretty excited to share some of the experiences I had in London, the capital of Great Britain. ^^

London is well-known for its efficient public transportation

Essential card for those who uses public transport in London.
Can be purchased online or buy it at any underground station.

27 December 2013 - DAY 1

I took a bus from Cardiff, Kingsway to London, Victoria Coach Station. Bus ticket can be booked online at megabus.com and costs about GBP 16.00. The bus departed at 7.45 am and the journey took about 3 hours ++.

A plan for some sort of mini gathering has been made earlier since some of my school friends are in London as well.
But unfortunately, Muzammil's train to Leicester is at 1.00 pm.
As soon as I arrived at Victoria, we rushed to St Pancras train station to send him off.

Tengah rushing pun sempat lagi =='

Asputra batch 06-10. My bros! Couldn't ask for more :')

St. Pancras Hotel

King's Cross Station

Gentlemen ;)

University College London (UCL)

London's trademark

Library

Nazrin

Taza

We had our lunch in Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK).
Honestly, I think the price is quite expensive for a burger.
Bolehla if nak try sekali sekala... ;p

King's Cross Station

Well, to Harry Potter's fans, the name of the station must be familiar to you right? ;)

Right after lunch, we made our way to Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4.
Most of the merchandises here are very expensive.
I only bought two postcards. Need to save money. T_T

Hogwarts school uniform

Wands

In front of the shop

Can you recall one of the scenes in the first HP movie?

London underground train system is efficient and looks complicated.
I might get lost if I travel alone here.
Thanks to Taza and Nazrin for being helpful.

I stayed in Nasreen's student hall, my colleague back in KMB. Currently she's studying in Imperial College London. Friendly and has pleasant personality. And gila jugak! HAHA.

28 December 2013 - DAY 2

 Albert and Victoria Museum

Sculptures some more

Imperial College London. One of the prestigious academic institutions in London

Royal Albert Hall

Albert Memorial

At Hyde Park

Lunch at Khan's, located in Bayswater.
Boleh mintak tumpang solat dekat sini. :)

Our trip to Albert and Victoria Museum, Imperial College London, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and Bayswater tak perlukan public transport pun sebab agak dekat. Jalan kaki ja from Nasreen's hall.
There's a lot of museums here and if I had more time, I would love to go to all of them!

For those who wants to buy souvenirs in London, tak sah kalau tak singgah Bayswater.
Banyak sangat kedai jual souvenirs and the price is wayyyyyyy cheaper than other places.
For accommodation in London, boleh stay di Malaysian Hall.
Harga memang lagi murah from hotel. Special for Malaysians :)

Emirates Stadium

The stadium is just about 5-minutes walk from Arsenal underground station.

It's Emirates Stadium!

Mezut Ozil ;)

Even though I'm not a big fan of Arsenal, the trip to Emirates Stadium was different and so exciting!
The official Arsenal merchandises were awesome.
Rasa macam nak beli semua and bagi dekat orang! Eh. kbye

Later that evening, we stopped by at Finsbury Park Mosque for Maghrib prayer.
Then, we continued our journey :)

London Eye

Tower Bridge

Bumped into Fasiha and her friend

It's Big Ben!

Tour guide of the year

Two days in London, simply not enough.
Haven't been to Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds, Stamford Bridge, Oxford Street and M&Ms World to name a few. T_T
I WILL COME AGAIN. I SWEAR.

A million thanks to Nasreen and Taza for hosting me.
May Allah reward you with goodness inshaaAllah.
Really enjoyed my time in London.
Can't wait for more exciting explorations in other part of UK! :D
